NOTES: Angus Is a coming 6 year old Gypsy Vanner and is of the traditional cob size, 14 hands and weights right at 975 pounds. Own son of SD Whistler , 2020 National Amateur grand Champion - In Hand Obstacles, National Reserve Champion Amateur -Trails, US, National Reserve Amateur - English Equitation. We purchased him for our daughter from the breeder as a weanling and he has been in our care with the exception of professional training ever since. We have used him like a family ranch horse and he has taken it all in stride with a willingness and an ability to retain what he has learned. This guy has been hauled to playdays, cleared arenas, hazed pony broncs for the pickup man, flagged rodeos, packed our kids on trails, penned cows with dogs on them, helped sort in the pens, and turned back in the cutting pen. He’s pretty catty for a draft breed. One of our daughters practices tying the goat dummy from him and we have started roping the breakaway sled on him. I have even used him on a search and rescue mission that took us through and in abandoned structures, down highways and through residential neighborhoods. Our 4 year old son loves to brush him and lead him through obstacles like a toy pony. He stands for and loves bathing and grooming, great for the farrier, loads and hauls great alone or with other horses. Angus has always lived outside with a mix of mares and geldings. Our daughters intentions of showing him have changed. He needs a new home that will enjoy him as much as we have and where he can be used to his full potential. He is not high strung or hyperactive but not a dead head either. We would recommend a rider with experience. He has packed many around who have never ridden on lead-line and had numerous hours of children petting him just about everywhere he’s been. Sound, Sane and Safe! A real eye catcher and one cool little horse!
