NOTES: Hooey is a beautiful red roan, 6-year-old gelding. He is one of the coolest colored red roans we’ve seen. He has a flaxen mane and tail that is to die for! Hooey has a great mind set and is willing to please. We have been using Hooey as a ranch horse and rope horse. We start all our horses the same. We heel on them until they are ready to haul, then we will start heading on them. Hooey has the ideal size to be as good of a head horse as you can ask for. We have been hauling him to the jackpots on both ends. This horse has a very bright future! Hooey also super broke. He will ride and slide and walk off on a loose rein. Hooey is great to drag calves on at the branding. He is also exceptional when sorting pairs. We feel like our horses are premier ranch horses and Hooey is no exception. Hooey is great to ride by yourself outside or with a group of people. When we gather cattle, we will go miles without seeing anyone and never have to worry. Hooey has also been exposed to assorted wildlife and it’s never been an issue. We’ve also used him in a feed yard. He will side pass to open and close gates. Hooey is by One Wicked Time who is an own some of One Time Pepto. One Time Pepto has earnings of $331,000. He is the 3rd all-time leading side for the NRCHA. Stands 15.1hh.
