NOTES: “Missy” is a 12 yr old AQHA mare, standing around 15.1h. Talk about some papers! This girl has them!! A strong, imposing mare by Freighttrain B, one of the most sought after Quarter Horse race sires in America. Freighttrain B has sired the All-American Winner Whistle Stop Cafe. This mare is bay but has some roan running through her flanks and top of her tail. Missy is a pretty legged mare and will turn some heads. Missy is a horse that fell through the cracks and been on the backburner due to no fault of her own. Life happens. We have decided to sell her as she is too nice to sit. She has a smooth walk, trot, and lope. Knows the word whoa, can side pass, pivot, works off your leg, gives in the face. Can be ground worked. Missy would be a great prospect to ride western pleasure or even English. She has the look for English and can really extend the trot. She has all of the ingredients for a barrel horse. Missy is patterned on the barrels; but has not had her legs ran off. She is very athletic and wants to have a job. This mare has lots of potential if in the right hands. She stands for the farrier but does have a small quirk with her back feet. She is slow about picking them up and extending them out. Missy has never been bred, so a maiden mare. Missy would make a great addition to the broodmare band. She has been trail ridden and through the pastures & hayfields. Missy is a little watchy and spooky at things in new environments but has never refused anything. Once she is warmed up and paying attention she stops being watchy. Missy has a brain and will use it; is a very quick learner. She is easy to catch and tacks up with no issues. She is best suited for an intermediate to advanced rider. The more you ride Missy, the better she is. She does amazing when worked and ridden regularly. She loves the attention and really wants to please you. Loads in both stock and slant load trailers. Stands to be bathed. Doesn’t mind being clipped. UTD with shots, worming, and feet. 100% sound. Missy doesn’t mind being in a stall but best if she can be outside. Contact 515-975-4345.
