NOTES: Introducing Hatchet. This stunning 15.0 hand Palomino gelding is the complete package. Hatchet is safe for anyone to ride, he’s reliable and athletic. He’s trained to be a versatile riding horse but whether you are looking for an arena prospect or an exception family horse, he’s your guy. His pedigree is full of AQHA champions and money earners; top side is rope horse bred, and bottom side is cutting horse bred which makes an incredibly versatile horse with structure and brains. Hatchet is a 4-year-old with more hours on him than most 10 year olds. He is a handsome gelding with a snow white mane and tail, with just the right amount of dappling. His confirmation is exceptional to say the least. He’s the most honest and dependable horse you’ll find anywhere. He rides the same everyday and has never once thought about bucking, biting, kicking, or anything else silly. He’s 100% respectful. His ground manners are superb, he’s 100% healthy and sound and has never been sick a day in his life. We raised this guy from birth and this is the first time he’s being offered for sale. He was trained slowly and correctly; we weren’t rushing to meet a time line or just move him through so we could work with others….We spent nearly 3 years riding him to make him into the awesome horse he is today. We took our time and put many hours in the saddle because there is no substitute for hours of riding and handling if you are trying to create an exception horse like Hatchet. He rides alone as well as he does in a group, never any funny business. He has spent his entire life pastured outside with other geldings, mares, yearlings, and foals. Hatchet’s training was done exclusively outside the arena in wide open spaces so once you get him home and point him to the wide-open country, he’ll be right at home. This weekend will actually be his 2nd time being in an arena and I’m positive he’ll do great in that environment as well. I should also mention, Hatchet has power steering, moves off legs with the slightest pressure, and has a slow easy jog and lope. If you want to go slow, he’ll go slow. If you need to get a job done, he’s ready for that as well. Practically loads and ties himself in the trailer, backs out beautifully, saddles without a care, takes the bridle/bit without a fuss, great with his feet, great with fly spray, etc……He’s just an awesome horse that has been handled correctly his entire life and it shows. Due to my schedule, we won’t arrive the Schmittys Sale Barn until Friday late afternoon, so we’ll miss the competition but feel free to give me a call ahead of time setup a meeting time or just come find us. We will be riding him early Saturday morning prior to the sale so stop over to say hello and meet Hatchet. He’s a truly exception gelding with his entire life ahead of him. Any question, give me a call 952-807-7979.
