NOTES: Check out this big, gorgeous, ranchy, dark dappled palomino mare with silver hair! Oakley is such a nice horse. Amateur friendly and uncomplicated to ride. Easy to catch, gentle on the ground. She's responsive at all gaits, has an easy spin, sidepass, stop, back up, and steering. She's willing through transitions at a walk, trot or lope. Oakley spent several months with a roping trainer and a decent chunk of time on a cattle ranch ranch, pushing cows all day and learning how to be a great working partner. She's very comfortable with a rope and will drag a log or tarp or any other object we've asked her to. Oakley also is confident handling a gate, carrying a flag, crossing water, etc. Great on the obstacle course and is curious and willing to try new things. And as a cherry on top, she's got the mounting block cue installed! So, no matter where you are on the trail or at home, you can snap your fingers and she'll sidepass up to the mounting block, fence or tree stump so you can climb on with ease! Ride her saddled or bareback. Bridled or in a halter. Alone or with other horses. Oakley has done it all. She's a very patient mare and will stand quietly wherever you put her. She's also comfortable being stalled or turned out. She's got great manners for the farrier and loves her baths! We've owned Oakley since she was a weanling. We know everything about her. She's always been 100% sound and has really great bone and feet, and perfect x-rays. She's been barefoot her whole life and rides sound across all terrain (including gravel).
