NOTES: Hugh is the kind of gelding that is hard to find - proven, seasoned, and completely honest. He is a very nice sorrel gelding that is finished in both the heading and the barrel racing and has been hauled successfully to jackpots and rodeos, where he is a proven money winner. In the head, Hugh has been hauled everywhere from the #8 roping all the way up to the rodeos. He is easy to rope on for all levels of ropers, scores good, is solid in the box, and gives you a good move in the corner. He knows his job and stays consistent, and makes it easy to go do your job. Hugh is equally proven in the barrel pen. He consistently runs in the 2D and has also placed in the 1D with limited hauling through no fault of his own. HE has a ton of run, is very honest around the barrels, and is simple and easy to run. He knows the pattern and goes in looking to do his job every time. We have owned Hugh since he was a three year old. He was trained right here and has been in our program for the past eight years, so we know this gelding inside and out. Along with his arena career, Hugh has been ranched on extensively and has been ridden by all levels of riders. He stays gentle, is completely honest, and has truly been a part of our family. One of our favorite things about Hugh is how dependable he is. Give him time off and he saddles up the same as when you left him. Whether you ride him once a week or once a year, he knows his job and never forgets it.
