NOTES: TUFFY BAR BADGER, or “Muleshoe”, as we call him, is our all-around gelding. You can do pretty much anything on him – team rope, drag, sort, ranch rodeo; he’s got a lot of athleticism, heart and try. He’d make a great steer tripping prospect. We’ve had “Muleshoe” for several years and have traveled some rough country on him. He’s always been more than willing to take us through anything. He’s my wife’s go-to horse, although we do not recommend him for beginners or children. He’s pleasant to shoe, haul, and place with other horses. If you’re looking for an old-school ranch gelding with a ton of heart that’ll ground-tie and travel all day, take a look at “Muleshoe”. Demonstrated by Asa and Angie Daugherty. Enrolled in the AQHA Ranching Heritage Program. His sire is BOY BOON; finalist in the Abilene Spectacular Amateur Derby. Sire of 4 money-earners, including KID BADGER BOON ($4,560: Caprock 3-Year-Old Open Ranch Horse Futurity Champion), BOONS LIL DIXIE (AQHA point-earner; National Ranch and Stock Horse Alliance National Champ Ranch Trail Novice Amateur Reserve Champion), BOON OLENA HEN (AQHA point-earner). His dam is SHEZ TUFFIN PEPPY, dam of 7 AQHA foals, and is a full sister to GO SMOKE N BADGER GO (21 AQHA points: finalist in AQHA World Senior Open Tie-Down Roping). Dam's sire is LITTLE BADGER KID; sire of 6 money-earners, including BADGER BAHAMA MAMA ($45,039: finalist in the NCHA Non-Pro Futurity).
