This big guy would make a great ranch prospect, you can chase cattle on him swing a rope, rope the dummy. He is built thick like a ranch horse and put together very nice. Have worked off of her on the family ranch pushing cows and roping calves. She is not a roping horse though and more of a trail horse who will go anywhere you point her nose to. I got her from a buddy of mine for my boys and he used her to elk hunt the mountains of Colorado. He packed on her and rode step mountain trails. She is sure footed and has shoes all the way around. She crosses water and will step over logs. She has never foaled a colt but has never ran her with a stud either. Super easy keep. You can take a month off of riding her and jump on her and have the same horse. Do not let his age scare you, this guy is fast and has a ton of giddy-up and go and more heart that any horse out there. Banks has had all phases of ranch work and rodeos. He has even had a few bronc riders picked up off him. He is quiet in the box, pulls hard, and did I mention he can run? Banks has been roped off of left handed and right handed. As much as my husband hates for me to write this he has also been around the barrels and poles, made an excellent rodeo queen competition horse, and has been ridden in a drill team. He has had a ton of miles put on him just as a trail horse as well. Unfortunately he no longer fills our needs so he is available to the right person. He needs maintenance. 101 1/1/2011 Sorrel M Whitney Monroe Butter is a workhorse. A machine. Butter has done it all big and small but she prefers to be working. I would not say she is trail horse unless you like the feeling of riding a fire breathing dragon. She has been rode on the ranch, in rodeos, and for leisure types of activities (dragging, sorting, double mugging, trail rides, parades, queen competitions, etc.) but she really shines in the sorting pen or anything that has to do with work. While I do think she is very broke and very gentle she is a lot of horse with a lot of horsepower. She has no quit in her. She has been roped off left and right handed both head and heel end.
