Cowboy using horse, ready to go to work. Solid, honest cowboy horse that’s been used outside and in the pens. He’s doctored plenty of cattle outside, works well in the pens, and has been used to drag calves. Two full years of riding with a good foundation already in place. This horse is ready to go to work today and has the mind and ability to be finished and refined in whatever direction you want to take him. Handles a rope, stays quiet under pressure, and has the kind of sense you can build on. Good opportunity for someone wanting a reliable using horse with room to step up. Stands 14.2. His sire is TOOFLYFORAFRENCHGUY; finalist Elite Extravaganza Barrel Racing Day 1 Open 4D; finalist Barrel Bash Chickasha March Day 2 Open 4D. Winston is a 14 hand, 2 year old gelding, born June 3, 2023. He is by Prescription For Lena and out of a grade mare. He has had all of his groundwork completed and is a solid, willing young horse. He has a few rides on him and is excelling very well, showing a good mind and a strong start under saddle. Winston stands well for the farrier, ties to the trailer, and is confident outside. He will cross water, logs, and small ravines without issue. A nice young prospect with a great foundation, ready to continue his training and be taken in the direction you choose.

Dawg is 15 hands, 7 year old gentle paint gelding! He’s been a pleasure to ride around and would make a great trail horse or for someone just getting into the industry. Safe but has lots of stamina. Has been used to gather, sort and ship cows in the sand dunes. Can rope off him or built just right to use him for barrels.

Pac-Man is a 9 year old chestnut gelding standing 15.3 hands tall. He has a calm, willing attitude and has done a little bit of everything. He was previously used in the feed pens, and more recently this summer and fall, he’s been used for trail rides and packing. In the herd, Pac-Man tends to be the bottom of the pecking order, but out on the trail he will lead, follow, and watches his feet. He’s easy-going, stands great for the farrier, and is up to date on teeth (done in August) and worming. Pac-Man would be a solid addition to any program looking for a dependable, experienced trail horse with a good mind.

Driftwoods Queen is an 11 year old buckskin mare. She stands 16 hands and she is big enough to do anything on. She is nice to be around and is always ready to go to work. She has a big work ethic and wants to do her best in everything you ask. She is a solid ranch horse and is very good to ride out in the pasture. She watches cattle and she will hold the rope for you. She is quick on her feet so she is very helpful sorting. She would also make an exceptional trail horse. You can ride her around town and to rodeos, she stays calm and level-headed. She is easy to ride. Just point and go. Sonia does have more go than woah. But she is easily pulled up. Sonia has very good ground manners, she is good to bathe, shoe, and blanket. Rey is a 7 year old gelding standing 15 hands by Reynshine (LTE $121k). He’s eligible for Riata Buckle and Royal Crown. I’ve had this gelding for the last 2.5 years. I’ve used him doctoring yearlings, checking pairs, loading trucks and hauled him to ranch rodeos. Would make a head horse or breakaway horse over night. His sire is REYNSHINE, $121,386 and 81 AQHA points: 7th NCHA Open Futurity; NCHA Limited Open Futurity Co-Reserve Champion; Open Perf. ROM. Dior is a 15.1 hand, well made paint mare. This mare is gentle and easy to catch in the big pasture. She likes grooming and attention by all the kids that come to the barn. Dior has been on countless trail rides, rides great in the arena as well as taking both leads, stops and backs up. Dior will short lope and carry her rider with her. This is a nice mare that acts like a gelding.

This horse was bred, born, and raised at Sigala Ranch. As a weanling, he sustained an injury to one eye. He retains partial vision in that eye, but it has not yet been evaluated by a veterinarian. Otherwise, he is sound. He was started and trained like every other horse in our program and shows strong athleticism and cow sense. Because of the eye issue, we do not consider him a 100% cutting prospect. However, he should be well-suited for roping, sorting, and a variety of other performance disciplines. Stands 14.1. His sire is THIRD CUTTING, $545,146: NCHA Open Super Stakes Champion; finalist NCHA Open Futurity. Sire of 149 money-earners, $2,634,572, 25 AQHA point-earners, including THIS ISA THIRD ($302,263: NCHA $5,000 Novice World Champion; NCHA Silver Award), HAY U ($200,246: split 3rd NCHA Non-Pro Classic/Challenge), CUTTING COMMANDER ($117,525: 3rd NCHA Open Derby). His dam is RIDE ME BACK HOME, is a full sister to RIDER ON THE SKY ($18,113: 7th Southern Cutting Int. All-Around ranch horse, tie-down and breakaway. This beautiful 14.2 hand mare is athletic, fast, and full of ability, but she’s also easy and enjoyable to ride. She’s handy, broke, and fun to have a leg over, with plenty of go. She rides nicely, handles well, and is responsive, athletic and able to move any direction you ask. She’s the kind you enjoy riding. She has been used extensively on the ranch and in the arena and will go all day long in any terrain. She’s been used in and won on in both tie-down and breakaway and has the speed, grit, and stop to be a high-level competitor. She puts the brakes on when asked and has the tools to take you to the pay window. Money earned in the breakaway and tie-down roping!! Started in a reining cow horse program, used on the ranch, super cowy, very athletic and FAST. This mare can take you where you want to go!! Her sire is ONETIME SMARTER, $3,646: split 5th Northwest RCHA Summer Futurity Open; split 3rd Northwest RCHA Summer Int. Open Futurity. Sire of 6 money-earners, including LENAS SMART MAKETAI ($3,201: 5th Idaho RCHA Classic $7,500 Limited Open Derby), ONETIME HOLLYWOOD ($3,050: top 10 NRCHA World Limited Open Hackamore), PEARLS GIRL (4th Idaho RCHA Non-Pro Boxing Derby). Doc is a 2021 grade chestnut quarter horse gelding, standing 15.1 hands. Doc is as athletic as they come. Standing 15.1 hands and built solid, he is all muscle with the stamina to go all day. He is calm in the arena and has been exposed to mountain riding, including navigating downfall and rough terrain, where he has learned to watch his feet. Doc can be roped off of and has been used as a pack horse. He is a lot of horse but has everything a ranching operation needs. He has been taken on 20+ mile days and comes back ready for more. Doc stands great for the farrier and gets along well with other horses in the pasture. A tough, capable gelding built for long days and real work.

6 year old palomino mare. Highly athletic and cowy with all the right moves and feel. 14.3 hands and tacks up the same everyday. Stands for farrier. Great turn around and stop with lots of neat buttons for someone who knows how to ride; not for a beginner. No buck, just a lot of action. She's been day worked on all over Texas, drug calves, doctored outside, and seen it all. Spent a good bit of time in the arena and would make someone a great heel or sorting prospect or broodmare one day. I've had her for two years and she was my main mount. Last year I went full time starting two year olds and just don't have the need for her. She's a sweet ride who shows out when you show up.

Captain Freckles is a 2009 gray gelding. Stands 14.2. Used as a knock-around kids horse, freckles had been down the trail, ridden in play-days, and ridden on the ranch. A walk trot warrior with a good handle, backs, side-passes, stops on woah. Freckles will lope both leads but takes a handy kid with proper leg cues to get him to lope. Would make an excellent trail riding companion as not much phases him. Easy to bathe, groom, trailer and saddle. Freckles is just your average horse and would make a great companion for your average horseman. Recently Freckles has been turned out for a couple years and has just been tuned up for his next adventure.

Bacardi stands 14.2 hands. Started correctly, rides soft and smooth in a snaffle, moves off leg pressure, big stop and has a big heart to go any direction you want. Was sitting on the back burner before I bought her but has since been brought back up, tuned on, being rode consistently and worked on barrels and jumping. Started on barrels, poles, and jumps. She’ll do anything you ask of her. Super easy keeper out on the pasture and gets fed a forage based diet. She loads, unloads, and hauls great but will paw when you’re sitting still for a while. Stands for the farrier. Great for baths and she’ll let kids all around her and wash her.

King is a 3 year old sorrel gelding standing 14.3 hands tall. He’s been started right and has a great foundation to build on. He’s been used for trail rides and has had a pack saddle on him a time or two. During his training on our ranch, he handled everything we threw at him, including our obstacle course, like a champ. He was the first of our colts to be broke and continues to show a calm, willing attitude. King is friendly, an easy keeper, and stands great for the farrier. He has no buck or bite and just needs someone to keep exposing him to new things and continue his education. With more time and miles, he’ll make a really nice all-around gelding.

Big John has been used in all aspects of ranching and was raised on the Matador Ranch. From catching and tying down cattle in the brush to dragging calves to the fire, he's trotted across plenty of rough country, creeks and steep terrain. He has been heeled on and headed on in the practice pen but hasn't been hauled to any team roping's yet. Big John stands good in the box and shows a lot of promise as a nice head horse. He's easy to shoe, ties well, and is good to haul. He has doctored cattle on wheat pasture, loaded cattle and has been used in ranch rodeos. His sire is WRIGLY; sire of 5 money-earners, including MCC WRIGLY SEVEN DOC ($13,500: 5th Riata Buckle #12.5 Heading Futurity), MCC WRIGLYS CAT ($3,825: Caprock 3-Year-Old Ranch Horse Open Futurity Reserve Champion), MCC WRIGLY GOLD (NRCHA money-earner), MCC WRIGLY RED JOSEY (NRCHA money-earner). Shorty is a 6 year old, 14 hand tall, super cool, kind, gentle horse. He would be a great family horse. Shorty is an easy keeper and super easy to catch, loves attention. He has been used on the ranch, roped and drug calves to the fire. We have gathered and sorted cattle on him. We have heeled the heel omatic on him and a lead steer.

Registered AQHA appendix. Goes back to $3 million+ earner Slew O’Gold. Stands 16.3 hands. This beautiful, elegant hunter under saddle mare was previously shown on the AQHA circuit. Youth-suitable and safe for riders of any level, she offers the steady temperament and reliability that makes every ride enjoyable. She would be a wonderful match for someone looking to shine at local shows or for a lesson barn seeking a trustworthy, versatile addition to their program. She’s previously been shown mainly on the flat, but we have been taking her over cross rails at home and she shows potential to further her career. She is wonderful on the trails alone or in a group. Very low headed and relaxed the whole trip. She has also produced several foals and is a great broodmare. Her sire is STROKE OF LUKE, $23,181 and 482 AQHA points: Congress Millers Open Hunter Under Saddle Futurity Reserve Champion; 7th Congress Junior Hunter Under Saddle; AQHA Amateur Performance Champion; Superior Hunter Under Saddle; Superior Amateur Equitation; Superior Amateur Hunter Under Saddle; Superior Amateur Showmanship; Amateur Perf. ROM. Sire of 14 money-earners and earners of 1,544 AQHA points, including STROKE FOR STROKE ($16,265 and 698.5 AQHA points: AQHYA World Champion Working Hunter; AQHA Amateur Champion), SMOOTH COASTIN LUKE ($14,099 and 349.5 AQHA points: AQHA Reserve High Point L1 Amateur Equitation Horse, AQHA Amateur Champion). Twix is the cutest dun pony gelding with his beautiful color and 4 little white boots. We have used him for lead line for our son the last year and he has always been gentle. He has ridden Twix around by himself as well. Twix will ride bareback or with a saddle. He rides him in a bridle or bareback and in a halter. At 10 years old Twix has had the experience of trail ridding, pushing some cattle on the ranch and he is very kind natured. Both of our kids lead him around, brush him and love to hold him in the yard to eat grass. This is a fancy pony that turns heads everywhere he goes. He is stout made and cute as a button! We cant say enough good things about him. Twix has always been gentle for our kids and is ready to find his next kids to bond with. He is good in a stall, out in the pasture with other pony's and has even lived with the big horses, he fits in everywhere you put him. Sound. FMI Call Casey (406) 897-4717

She is cool colored, has lots of heart, and likes to trail ride. She stands tied, loads, bathes, hauls, and stands tied. This mare is good with other horses, fine with dogs, and is fine with traffic. This mare has been ridden in the arena, indoors and out. She will lope circles, catch her leads, stops, backs up, and moves off of leg cues. This 15.1 hand, 14 year old gelding was previously a match racing horse and has since been restarted and is riding well. He is progressing nicely and will continue to improve with consistent riding. While he needs more training, he shows great potential and would excel in the barrel pen or ranch riding. He is brave and level-headed, not scared of much, and will cross just about anything: water, obstacles, and varied terrain without hesitation. A solid, athletic horse looking for a rider who wants to finish him their way and take advantage of his speed and versatility. Great project horse with a strong foundation and plenty of upside.

Wilson is a broke-to-the-bone, exceptionally gentle gelding with the kind of mind and experience you want in a true youth or family ranch horse. He has been hauled and competed on through high school rodeo, where he consistently took care of his rider and proved himself as a dependable head horse. Wilson has years of professional training under a respected cow horse trainer and roper. He is very cowy, strong to cattle, and near open-caliber quick. He ropes well, moves cattle with authority, and has the kind of feel and responsiveness that makes him enjoyable for a variety of riders. Around the ranch, Wilson truly shines. He has been with us for the past two months in a tune-up, and he is a pleasure to be around. Quiet, kind, and honest every day. He has been ridden in parades and safely through traffic, and nothing seems to bother him. From gathering cattle to day-to-day ranch work. Stands 16 hands.

Rat is easy to ride and quiet on the trails if you're not looking to sort or go fast in the show pen. His sorrel roan coloring is beautiful in the summer time and his manners are unmatched. Coors is a 4 year old registered quarter horse gelding with Dash for Cash in his bloodlines. He came out of a bunch of TF colts, and if you know anything about them, you know they’re bred to work. He’s the real deal. Athletic, sharp-minded, and built to go all day. Coors has been roped off of, worked cows, led trail rides, and led pack horses. He’s seen a little bit of everything and handles it all with confidence. He’s a lot of horse and works best for someone with soft, experienced hands. This gelding can turn, burn, and spin, and he’s ready to keep advancing in whatever direction you take him. He’s very friendly, confident, and an easy keeper. He just had his teeth done in August, stands great for the farrier, and has a tail that practically drags the ground. He’s 100% sound and athletic, with the look, papers, and ability to match. If you’re looking for a true cowboy’s horse this is your guy. His sire is DASHS WINNING FLIGHT SI 85: 1 second, Race placed, $3,908; sire of 10 money-earners, including TF DASHING CHICKEN (State Fair of Texas Barrel Racing Open 4D Reserve Champion), DASHS DRIFTINDUCHESS (Lucky Dog Barrel Racing Mar Day 1 Open 4D Reserve Champion), TF PUFF N SMOKE (5th BBR Barrel Racing Midwest Extravaganza Day 1 Open 3D). Zena is a 15 hand, 2015 AQHA Chestnut mare and was bought for a brood mare several years ago but I never tried to breed her. She was broke when I bought her and I turned out until this spring. She is willing to please and has never given me an issue. We rode her last in August, until this week when my 16 year old daughter started on her again; she jumped on her and rode off like a champ. She likes to stop and is quick to turn. She side passes, bends, knows her leads fairly well, and is lightly started on the barrels. Zena has been hauled to junior rodeos and jackpots, and is good to load, unload, eats and drinks great on the road, and stands at the trailer. Zena is smart and easily picks up on anything we ask. Our kids are older and busier, life is pulling us many directions and we don't have time for them all. Her sire is HALLMARKS SUCCESS, Son of SR HALLMARKED, $64,021 and an AQHA point-earner: Abilene Western Open Classic Reserve Champion; finalist NCHA Open Derby; 4th NCHA Open Classic/Challenge; split 4th New Mexico El Cid Open Classic; Abilene Spectacular Open Classic Co-Reserve Champion.
